Expanding the Family
Before Sharon and Bob had kids, they had Lenny, their Jack Russell Terrier mix, adopted from NHS shortly after they married and bought their first home.
It Took Fifteen Minutes
Linda, divorced and in her late sixties, recently transferred her 401(k) into an IRA following her retirement as a nurse. An only child who had outlived her parents and who had never had children, Linda’s only close-ish remaining relative was her cousin’s niece, Joy, who felt more like a niece.
You Can Bank on It
Jim lives simply. Since recovering from cancer two years ago, right before he turned eighty, his fixed income doesn’t allow for a lot of extras. Luckily, Jim’s hobbies aren’t too expensive. He borrows books from the library, watches his favorite teams on tv, and hangs out at the local senior center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
